Pressure switches are often out of calibration before they completely fail, and it is for a wide variety of reasons -- all of which can cause the furnace to operate in an unsafe manner.
The DDSM1 Draft Simulator creates a controlled vacuum to test pressure switches, so technicians can tell exactly when a pressure switch closes and opens. This either proves that the switch is within specification, or identifies if the switch is starting to fail.
Plus, the DDSM1 is the only tool able to calibrate adjustable pressure switches to manufacturers’ specifications. This saves contractors from carrying a large inventory of pressure switches on their trucks, and from leaving the job site to buy pre-calibrated switches.
- Easily Calibrate Any Adjustable Pressure Switch
- Always have the Right Pressure Switch on your Truck
- No Need to Carry a Wide Variety of Pressure Switches
- Mimics Pressure Produced by Live Draft Inducers
- Replaces Unreliable “Checking” Procedures
- Reduces Call Backs
Competitive Advantages
A pressure switch is a safety device that prevents furnaces from running in unsafe conditions. Until the DDSM1 Draft Simulator came to market, there were no safe, accurate, and reliable ways to test pressure switches.
Now HVACR professionals can test pressure switches to see if they are failing, and can calibrate adjustable pressure switches to furnace specifications, so there's no need to carry a wide variety of switches on their truck, or need to leave the job site to go purchase a pre-calibrated pressure switch.
What's Included

Dual-Port Manometer – SDMN5
The SDMN5 is a portable, rugged dual-port manometer designed especially for HVAC/R field service. Measures gas pressure, static pressure and pressure differential. The SDMN5 includes a zero adjust button of the face of the meter, a rugged rubber boot, a magnet on the back for hanging the meter during service, and the Auto Power-Off (APO) function conserves battery life. The SDMN5 measures pressure between -60inWC and 60inWC (inches of water column) and -150.0 to 150.0 mBar. The SDMN5 also measures P1 or P2 pressure readings and calculates the difference between P1 and P2. Take static pressure measurements with a resolution of 0.01inWC or 0.01mBar. Includes 3/16” to 5/16” adapter for measuring gas inlet and outlet pressures.
