Tough Enough for any Heating Job
If you’re tired of emptying water traps, the CAT85’s flue probe Hydrocycle™ Pump automatically separates and returns accumulated water to the flu. Also, the CAT85 offers a built-in manometer so you can carry one less tool.
A new, high contrast 5.5” touchscreen display makes it easy to view measurements, whether your jobsite is a dimly lit basement or bright rooftop. You can also save customer data with dedicated fields for client information. If you require advanced diagnoses, a live trend report is available with O2, CO and CO2 readings.
Along with a four-year sensor warranty, the CAT85 HVAC combustion analyzer also features patent-pending SensorVault™ technology that extends sensor life by sealing the sensors from oxygen in the air during storage. If they need to be swapped out, they are field-replaceable to maximize uptime.
Durable construction and rubberized casing make the CAT85 tough enough to tackle any jobsite conditions. The magnetic back also lets you work hands-free and the padded hardline carrying case has multiple inserts for accessories.
Connect to Job Link® System App to view trends, draft pressure and customer details, all with 1000’ wireless range. A wireless printer is also available for jobsites that require documentation printouts.

The CAT85 automatically separates and returns water to the flue using the patent-pending HydroCycle™ Pump technology, providing a care-free water collection system.
Our SensorVault™ technology extends sensor life by sealing the sensors from oxygen in the air during storage. The field replaceable sensors are warrantied for four years meaning maximum uptime on the job site.
Our SensorVault™ technology extends sensor life by sealing the sensors from oxygen in the air. during storage. If the combustion analyzer is powered off improperly (for example, the battery runs out while powered on) it is possible for the sensor seal to become out of sync with the power on state. When plugging into a power source the combustion analyzer will check to make sure the sensor sealing is correctly synced with the button, if the analyzer detects the sensor is out of sync the analyzer will automatically power on.
Fieldpiece Combustion Analyzers (CAT45, CAT85) that have firmware version v1.1 and earlier do not default the CO AIR FREE value to the highest reading, which is also known as [COAF], [CO Undiluted], or [CO at 0% O2 Reference].
To ensure the CO AIR FREE reading is correct, the user should go to Settings and change the O2 Reference from the default number of 6% to 0% [zero oxygen]. This change accurately displays the CO AIR FREE value to comply with BPI-1200 and AHRI 1260 Standards.
